BUY OR IT BOOTLEG IT!!!

No bunny rabbits boiling, or lamp clicking off and on by a crazy faced Glen Close in the corner, or the famed line “ I won’t be ignored Dan”, however, Obsessed, starring Idris Elba and Beyonce Knowles was just as fascinating. For those of us who remember the 80’s crazy film flick Fatal Attraction, you may see some similarities, however, the writer and director did a good job of updating the “situation” in which a successful asset manager, Derek Charles (Idris Elba), who has just received a huge promotion, is blissfully happy in his career and in his marriage to Sharon (Beyonce Knowles). But a temp worker Lisa (Ali Larter) starts stalking him; all the things he's worked so hard for are placed in jeopardy. I was late seeing this movie, but it was worth the wait. The compromising situations between Elba and Larter and of course the grand fight finale makes this movie an action packed drama that has you routing for Bey to “whoop dat tail” at the end is worth the adrenaline. The story line is predictable, but not boring in the least and yes, I know what you are wondering. Is Beyonce’s acting better than what we’ve seen in the past? The answer to the 1 million dollar questions is, yes and no. I think the fact that all she has to play is an angry black sister defending her man and her marriage for a majority of the movie was very true to her form so she fit naturally in this role. So yes, I would say Buy IT!!! Add this one to your fem “kick-bootie” collection in HD not Black Buster.
